United Safety is looking to hire the following specialists.

Job 0001/2021QAR “H2S Technician-Junior”

Job Location: Qatar, Employment Type: Permanent

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Assist to plan, organize and to control required activities with on-site client representative(s) for drilling, well servicing, industrial locations, and possibly plant turnarounds
  • Under Senior supervision:
  • Operates and ensures function, operational readiness of various equipment and testing systems to ensure response quality; conducts drills, rescues, inspections & tests, site hazard assessments and safety meetings on-site
  • Installs and dismantles (deploys) various safety equipment, including loading and transporting equipment to the worksite; strategically placing required equipment for rapid response including air trailers, lines, manifolds, breathing apparatuses, gas detection systems, barriers, signs and briefing areas.
  • Ensures Site Safety Plan is followed.
  • Ensures proper & smooth co-ordination with Safety Officers
  • Provides input and support for the safe conduct of work by turnaround contractor
  • Ensures PTW procedures & all safety procedures are followed by contractor personnel.
  • Conducts regular work site safety inspections / audits / walk downs
  • Participates in incident investigations following any incidents
  • Assists safely department with audits during shutdowns.
  • Reviews JSA (Job Safety Analysis) for each job & carries out Fire Box inspections.

Must Have:

  • 1-2 years of previous H2S work experience (Upstream and Downstream);
  • Fluent in English;
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Currently reside in Qatar

You should enjoy physical work and be comfortable being away from home for long periods of time in a hotel or camp situation.

You are diligent, attentive and can work as an effective team player.

You must be able to communicate clearly and calmly when faced with adverse situations.
