About Daryl

Daryl Helmer is the Chief Financial Officer of United Safety and is based out of the company’s global headquarters in Airdrie, Canada. With more than 14 years at United Safety and over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Daryl brings extensive financial and operational expertise to the organization.

Prior to being appointed CFO in 2013, he served as Vice President of Finance. He supported all business groups and segments with a focus on operational efficiency, software implementation, costing tools, budgeting, forecasting, and growth initiatives. Moreover, his leadership continues to play a key role in driving United Safety’s financial performance and strategic growth.

Daryl works closely with United Safety’s executive board, providing financial insight and assessing organic and acquisition expansion opportunities. He also manages operational and financial strategy planning, along with governance and risk management. Daryl has been instrumental in the company’s growth and expansion into new countries. Furthermore, he facilitated global credit arrangements to support the company during the company’s growth plans. Daryl is also responsible for Information Technology Strategy and Procurement within the company.

He received his accounting designation in 1999 from the Society of Management Accountants of Alberta (CMA, CPA).
