Ultra Lite a breathing air system

United Shutdown Safety unveils the Ultra Lite at the AFPM Maintenance & Reliability Trade Show in San Antonio, Texas, May 20-23 2014.

The Oil and Gas industry is under constant pressure to improve production, reduce costs, and maintain current assets while at the same time ensure the safety of employees and contractors.

Solutions that help facilitate logistics, streamline processes and save money can have a huge impact in the industry. That is why United Shutdown Safety developed the Ultra Lite.

The Ultra Lite is a compact, highly-portable stackable breathing air system. Thanks to its innovative carbon fiber cylinders, it weighs less than the commercial standard of 1001 lbs and withstands higher pressure to still produce 3000 cubic feet of air despite its reduced dimensions.

Its smaller footprint allows it to be transported in the bed of a ½ ton pickup truck, eliminating the need for a CDL driver, reducing logistical challenges and delivery costs and avoiding additional issues like on and off loading with a forklift. This results in an ultra-compact breathing air system that allows customers to enjoy unmatched mobility.

“In industrial and upstream facilities where there is limited space available, increased traffic during maintenance times and a need to improve efficiency of work being carried out is where the Ultra Lite fits best. It is perfect for small jobs taking place at remote plant locations, as it allows for swift mobilization” says Tim Wallace, EVP North and South America for United Shutdown Safety.
