Showcased at the 2014 IPTC in Doha, Air Qruise™ demonstrates United Safety’s commitment to practical innovation-ensuring personnel working in hazardous environments are protected and able to return home safely.
In oil and gas operations, the risk of unexpected toxic gas release-particularly H₂S – is a constant concern. H₂S is colorless and can become odorless at high concentrations, making exposure extremely dangerous without immediate protection.
To address this risk, United Safety developed Air Qruise™, the industry’s first vehicle-mounted breathing air and gas detection system. Designed for vehicles operating in sour gas environments, Air Qruise™ protects personnel from the moment they enter a hazardous area until they exit safely.
The system continuously monitors internal and external gas levels. When toxic gas is detected, audible and visual alarms activate inside the vehicle, prompting occupants to don positive-pressure breathing masks supplied by an onboard air system. Real-time readings allow drivers to identify the safest evacuation route and confirm when it is safe to remove masks once clear of the contaminated area.
Engineered to exceed performance and quality expectations, Air Qruise™ is a flexible solution that can be customized to suit different vehicle types-including 4x4s, vans, and buses-with scalable air supply durations.
