In a ceremony that took place in Corpus Christi on June 9, the Contractor Safety Council of the Coastal Bend presented United Safety with the South Texas Safety Excellence Award. The award recognizes outstanding efforts to provide a safe workplace and make continuous improvements in safety management and performance in 2014.
In order to receive the award, there were several criteria to be met in each site:
- Minimum of 20,000 man-hours worked
- No fatalities
- No OSHA serious or higher citation(s)
- TRIR of 2.0 or less
- TLTR of 1.0 or less
Paul Sikes, Business Development for the Midland region, and Robert Morgan, QHSE Manager USA, represented United Safety at the banquet, bringing back the 4th award for the USA team this year.
