The launch of the TeQ Shield\u2122 confined space monitoring technology made it to the cover. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>The GPS daily reporter attended the launch and met with Lee Whittaker (United Safety\u2019s CEO) who said \u201cit\u2019s very exciting and it\u2019s great to assist our customers in executing these critical tasks\u201d. Moreover, Shayne McCallum (VP for Canada), explained the reporter how the technology works. It combines video surveillance, communication, gas detection and access control, all run from a command center. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tim Wallace (EVP Americas) mentioned this is the first time a technology like the TeQ Shield\u2122 is used in Canada. In addition, he said it can help make turnarounds safer and more efficient.
