Strategic Alliance in Angola, Congo Expands United's Reach
02 Feb 2010 - United Safety has successfully commissioned installation of two (2) complete Direct Delivery Breathing Air and Gas Detection Systems in the Middle East by employing Angolan Nationals for the Lead Technical Advisors on-site. We also have several other international locations where Angolan Nationals are planned for team leading and mentoring other local workers. The Angolan personnel were trained, qualified and experienced in Angola, Congo, and Canada over a period of two (2) years. With this project United has, again, demonstrated a world class ability to develop skilled, high quality individuals in some of the world’s most challenging environments. We are proud of the high quality accomplishments of our team worldwide and would like to thank them for their hard work and dedication.
United Expands Safety Tech Services to Sweden
01 Nov 2009 - In late 2009, United Safety expanded its growing Safety Technician services to the international market. After many years of successful operations in Canada, United translated that knowledge and technology to Sweden for the same customer. This is another first for United as we continue to expand our high quality services worldwide.
United Achieves OSSA Certifications
01 Jul 2009 - As of April and July 2009, The Oil Sands Safety Association (OSSA) certified United Safety as an accredited training provider for the Confined Space Entry & Monitor and Fire Watch Programs.
New Display at The Canadian Petroleum Discovery Center in Devon, Alberta
12 Mar 2008 - United Safety has delivered this incredible display: It’s a high-pressure breathing air system used mostly in high level jobs. We’ve nicknamed the worker “Ralph” and hope you join him to learn about safety.
We are pleased to welcome United Safety students back again as they utilize the hall for training.
New Airdrie Head Office And Training Center Open
22 Feb 2008 - The Corporate Head Office and Training Center in Airdrie is open and running. The new facility houses the International Group, our Corporate Administration staff and our Corporate Controller.
Operations Support Group is also housed in the new building along with our Corporate Human Resources Group, the Training Department and our Corporate Recruiters.

New Service Offering. Protectus Monitoring System
22 Feb 2008 - Our new “Protectus®” monitor has arrived!
The Protectus® monitor has multi-gas monitoring capabilities, specifically designed to assist our customers with Emergency Response Plan Management.
The Protectus® is a web-based “real time” system with easy to operate data management, so we can stream “real time” into our customers office from remote locations.
“We are very pleased with this technology”, reports Lee Whittaker, President of United Safety, “our people using this equipment in the field will love the versatility of the Protectus®. Our customers will appreciate very quickly the advantage of the Protectus® and the EPZ monitoring requirements will be met for all jurisdictions”.
